We had a great first day at Pennsylvania National Horse Show!

Scottie Smith’s Polished! and Lissy took on the 6 and Under Green Hunter Division and had two beautiful trips. The pair secured a 4th and 5th. We are excited to watch them on day two.

Later this week we will see IPA & Tina and Gryffindor & Christine.

One last little post about our trip to HITS Culpeper last week…..

We had too much fun for just one (or two) posts. And then Insta wants to limit our photo count. It’s a whole thing.

So we saved our Derby WINNERS for their own separate moment of happy happy joy joy!!

Maddie and Gibbs WON the $500 THE LEAGUE TINY BIT O' HUNTER DERBY 2' with scores of 83 and 85!

Lissy and Lambchop won the USHJA National Derby.

Lissy and Lou had a strong third place finish in the USHJA National Derby.

It was a great week with wonderful horses, fun clients, friendly show staff, and the best Freedom Farm team at home and on the road. And none of this would be possible without the greatest leader of them all, Peg Seals! There aren’t enough words to describe what you mean to this group! Thank you for all you do!!

At HITS Culpeper, we didn’t just collect Champions ribbons, we took home quite a few Reserve Championships, too.

❤️💛🤍 Limited Edition’s Benediction - owned by Eric Dirks and ridden by Lissy Naber and Beverly Allen - Reserve Champion 2’ USHJA Hunter and Reserve Champion Children’s Pony Hunter with Beverly

❤️💛🤍 IPA - owned and ridden by Tina Brady - Reserve Champion Combined 3’6” AO/3’3” JR Hunter

❤️💛🤍 Gryffindor - owned and ridden by Christine Ryan - Reserve Champion Middle Adult Amateur Hunter

Primary colors are our favorite but when the competition is stiff, most ribbons feel like a win!

💙 Jen Parish and Select pulled it all together on Sunday and showed us two great rounds. The pair won a Low Adult Over Fences class.

💙 Neysa Bryant and Indeed strutted their way to an Under Saddle win in the Low Adults. Despite some hiccups and baby green moments, they ended the weekend with a high score of 85 in the second round of the classic.

❤️ Ashby Pope and Cavalier have been in a bit of an Under Saddle Boot Camp with Ms. Peg. The last two shows have shown us that effort has been worth it. The pair continues to rise in the ranks of the toe pointing competition! Along with good ribbons over the jumps, Cal and Ashby are figuring out what it takes to be recognized and rewarded on the flat.

💛 Lissy and Miss Cloe Z haven’t been in the ring together in quite a few shows. But as we saw last week, they’ve still got it. MC’s junior rider was in school so Lissy turned on her power and speed and piloted her mare to great rounds over some big sticks!

We had a great time at HITS Culpeper last week! It’s been quite a few years since we’ve been and we were all impressed with the barns, the rings, and the staff!

The first of the week brought some challenging weather conditions……and a banner full of awards.

The weekend weather had some ups and downs and a whole lot of wind! And our banner decor continued to flourish.

Under the expert guidance of Peg Seals, some of our accomplishments read like this:

💙❤️💛 Finesse - owned by Jen Parish and ridden by Lissy Naber - Champion 3’ Green Hunter winning 4 of 5 classes

💙❤️💛 Cavalier - owned by Ashby Pope and ridden by Lissy Naber - Champion Schooling Hunter winning 4 of 5 classes

💙❤️💛 Indeed - owned by Neysa Bryant and ridden by Lissy Naber - Champion Baby Green Hunter winning 4 of 5 classes

💙❤️💛 Contanti - owned by Reese Mazur and ridden by Lissy Naber - Champion 2’9” USHJA Hunter winning 3 of 5 classes
