🥒 Well… after 4+ months of avoiding this thing, here we go! 😂

I FINALLY decided to try out the Harvest Right. I’m not going to lie—this thing has intimidated me since the day I bought it. 😅

But I currently have cucumbers coming out of my ears, so what better time to experiment?! If this goes completely wrong… I tried, learned something, and wasted nothing but time because I have PLENTY more cucumbers. 😂🥒

She officially says FREEZING, so I guess there’s no turning back now. 🤞🏼

🐔 The girls are out and happy! ☀️🌿

Now that the crazy heat has chilled out a little, everyone is enjoying some much-needed time outside—scratching, exploring, and doing all the important chicken things. 😂🐓

Just learned Perdue hatches around 12 MILLION chicks a week… 😳

So I guess I can stop feeling guilty about my little 60+ chick hatch over here at Newberry Acres. 😂🐣

Turns out we’re not exactly disrupting the poultry industry… just enjoying the chaos one incubator at a time. 🤠🥚

Plant shopping for Newberry Acres today and somehow the cart filled itself again 🌿😂

A little color, a little chaos, and probably not enough room left to plant in. Between the deep purple vines, bright blooms, silver foliage, and all the cactus temptation… we may have gotten carried away.

Nothing better than walking through a greenhouse dreaming up new planter combos and summer projects for the farm. Now the hard part begins — figuring out where everything is going to go. 🌸🪴

A little bit of summer is starting to show itself here at Newberry Acres 🍑🌿

Our peach trees are officially showing off tiny peaches, and somehow every year it still feels a little magical seeing that first fuzz-covered fruit hanging on the branch. From late frosts to wind and wild Virginia weather, these trees have been through it already this season — but they’re pushing right along.

Now we wait, water, pray against the squirrels, and dream about peach cobbler. ☀️

Virginia isn’t exactly known for wheat… but here we are! 🌾

We planted a little and it’s actually growing—on our way to making about 1/842 of a loaf of bread 😂
