In Memoriam: Wood Bridge Farm Unforgettable (03-28-2015 to 02-04-2026)

Everyone has their favorite goat or 4, and Unforgettable was one of mine. Over the years, she stood out not just as a remarkable animal, but as a truly special presence in the herd. Her distinctive “crazy eye,” a trait from her grandsire Wood Bridge Farm Apache Wind, was a testament to her character—bold, curious, and unforgettable.

I am grateful to have had the privilege of calling her mine for several years. Unforgettable had a deep love for babies and a CRAZY love for peanut butter crackers, small pleasures that reminded me of the everyday blessings in life. She also had a streak for birthing a crap ton of “boys,” that kept me amused. Not to mention her obnoxious baaaa, a daily soundtrack that announced her presence.

As I remember her, I celebrate the everyday moments that made her such a special part of my life. Rest easy, Unforgettable—you will be missed, cherished, and remembered with gratitude

This is a hard one to post but I have decided to offer Sweet Thang to a farm that will use him more. Though we absolutely love this boy with 6 bucks and him being an outcross for us we have only used him a handful of times since we’ve owned him and would love for him to be used to his full potential in the upcoming breeding season! In addition to his dam scoring a VEEE 90 on LA his full littermate sister scored VEEE 91! He’s a solid boy with tons of depth of body and ready for someone’s program who will put him to good use!

The Pennington Point Herd Dispersal has been completed, with all the goats finding wonderful homes across the country.

An emptiness lingers as I adjust to not seeing their sweet faces anymore. It's almost as if I'm asking myself, "What am I supposed to do now?" The goats ignited a passion in me that I never knew I had. I send my best wishes to the new owners and, as always, please keep me updated.

I'm forever grateful to my family for their support throughout this journey. Without them, much of this wouldn't have been possible. They were there when the babies needed bottles, or a doe was kidding and I couldn't be present, administering medications to the goats, handling chores when I was away, and even making long journeys across the country for goats. They stood by me during the heart-wrenching losses and somehow kept me going.

I extend my gratitude to my "goat friends" who encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and always offered a helping hand at shows. They always provided guidance when I had trouble with a goat, or needed advice about a situation.

I will keep the farm page active and remain available to provide advice in any situation. Feel free to reach out to me anytime.
