Yesterday was cattle working day! ๐พโจ
Before we head into winter, we want to make sure everyone is healthy and doing well. We worked calves, castrated bull calves, and tagged and checked everyone. All the cows and calves looked greatโnice and fat and already getting a thicker coat for winter!
It was a full, incredible day. Our girl took 3rd place at Cross Country Conferenceโ1st Team All-Conference! ๐โโ๏ธ๐ We couldn't be prouder of her hard work!
We came right home to work the cattle, and we are so beyond thankful for our family who showed up to help. Huge thanks to my sister, brother-in-law, his brother, and our neighbor for coming out to lend a hand, and to my mom for making us all delicious food to keep us going! โค๏ธ๐ฒ
Days like today put so much into perspective. Watching our kids work cattle with such patience and careโmoving so naturally because itโs truly all theyโve ever knownโleaves us completely speechless. They love this land and these animals just as much as we do, and seeing that passion pass down to the next generation is everything.
We are so beyond proud of how capable, strong, and caring they are becoming. Running this farm as a family, working side-by-side every single day, and watching them thrive right along with it... this is why we do it.
Thank you to everyone for being so understanding about our store hours yesterday while we cheered on our girl and worked the farm. We appreciate this amazing community more than words can say! โค๏ธโจ
