One night last week, I was laying in bed reading in Ecclesiastes when I felt this little nudge in my spirit.. “Start a Bible study for the women in your community.” And y’all.. in the spirit of full transparency, my immediate response was basically “Excuse me, Sir?” 😂
Father, I’ve truly got a million irons in the fire. I’m homeschooling, homemaking, running this little business, raising my babies, making sure I HAVE TIME WITH YOU, quality time with my husband, it’s “football mom” season, the dishwasher isn’t working so I’m subbing in as THE dishwasher.. 🤣 and i’m trying to finish my book. Every extra free second I have.. which, let’s be honest, isn’t many.. goes toward the behind the scenes work of everything else. 🤷🏼♀️ ..And then came the spirit of conviction. Because how dare I say “here I am, Lord.. send me” and then have a heart chock full of excuses.
Obedience doesn’t require me to be equipped.. it requires me to be willing! The more I thought about it, the more I realized.. I love this.
I love fellowship.
I love opening up God’s Word and digging in.
I love sitting around with other genuine women and talking about the things that really matter.
I love encouraging women and being encouraged right back.
So while I may not have felt like I had the time for this, I knew I had the desire.. and more importantly, I felt God asking me to make room.
So here we are. 💓
I want this Bible study to feel like home.
Not fancy.
Not intimidating.
Not a place where you have to have all the answers or have your life perfectly put together.
Come as you are.
Whether you’ve spent years studying Scripture, or you’re searching/questioning/curious about Jesus.. there is a place for you here.
Bring your Bible. Or don’t. (If you don’t have one, Say the word and I will give you one)
Bring your questions. Or stay quiet.
Bring your coffee. Or snacks.
Bring the parts of your life that are messy and unfinished.
We’ll open the Word, share some stories, laugh a lot, maybe shed a few tears, pray for one another, and encourage each other along the way.
No pressure. No expectations. No pretending.
Just women gathering together seeking Jesus.
I don’t have all the details ironed out. I feel meeting bi-weekly would be the plan! Don’t worry about finding childcare.. kids are welcome and can hopefully make some new connections while we do!!
If this is something you’d be interested in participating in once or regularly.. let me know and I’ll begin working on the plans💓
