It’s only the middle of August, but around here Thanksgiving is already on the horizon.

These meat turkeys have been growing like weeds, and they still have a couple more months to go before October harvest. It’s hard to believe that these goofy little birds will be filling the freezer for Thanksgiving before we know it.

For now, they’re just enjoying the sunshine, plenty of room to roam, and giving us plenty of laughs along the way.

I have a feeling the next couple of months are going to fly by!

I'm back!!
I got back on Monday and have been busy getting our homestead under control but we are ready for today's market!
This morning I made Chocolate Zucchini bread and Pumpkin Spice Bread...the homestead smells amazing. JD and I picked green beans to bring today too! My sunflowers should be ready for next week 🌻
It's so fun coming back to see what the garden has done while we were gone.

If you are still needing meat chickens this fall, reserve your birds now! We will not do more meat birds until the spring.
