Our Story

Fort Clux Farm currently has egg layer chickens, turkeys, and sheep. We have been selling eggs via our Farm to Business delivery service for several years, Holiday Turkeys for 3 years and building out our Sheep flock for 4 years. We are part time farmers with a full time love and are building our small farm so we can live a more sustainable and green life-style, adding solar power where and when it makes sense and supporting other local farms and businesses buy purchasing locally. We belong to the NC Small Farm Association so we can continue to network and collaborate with our fellow farmers.

We are now a Poultry Producer, under the 20,000 Poultry Processor/Grower Exemption (Exempt P.L. 90-492), AND a Mobile Poultry Processor Unit offering the equipment we have at our farm to other farmers. We are adding to our egg sales and seasonal turkeys, providing Meat Chicken, Turkey and Lamb throughout the year.

All of our animals have access to pastures and forests which surround them in which the feed and forage. We supplement our animals feed when necessary and use locally grown hays and feedas well as provide dried meal worms and Non-GMO feed from Bender Farms for our Turkeys and Hens.
