My talented in-laws, Wayne and Janice built this beautiful bench in memory of our good friend and neighbor, John Fredrick! It is an awesome addition to the area where AJ’s dad, Alvin carved the Eagles! A few days ago, John and Gail’s son and daughter in law brought this beautiful barn quilt that Kathy had made for AJ and I! How lucky we are to have such wonderful friends and neighbors!

Today as I look out my window watching the next snow storm move in I’d like to share a few words about our good friend John Fredrick, who passed away yesterday from a stroke he suffered a few days ago. John was not only a good friend and neighbor he also worked for us over the last 20 years. Although his health kept him from spending long hours in the tractor working for us the last few years he was always ready to give anyone a ride to wherever we happened to be working! We will miss the sometimes daily visits to our shop to see what we are working on and all his comical complaining! John has been filling in as my copilot on many parts runs or anytime I needed company in the truck and had many life lesson talks! We all know we won’t be here forever but it won’t be the same without him stopping by and giving all the guys a hard time! All of us have benefited greatly from knowing and working with John, May God rest his soul.
