Windy Bluff Farm (Windy Bluff Dairy Goats on Social Media) is a small family operated farm, tucked into the hills and hollers of Middle Tennessee in Castalian Springs. We live on the back 40 on the flat rolling top of the bluff on old Blankenship Plantation land overlooking the Cumberland river near the historic Cragfront, Bledsoe Fort, Indian Mounds, Wynnewood and Hawthorn Hill Estates. There is always a lovely, pleasant wind blowing, even during the hottest summer months. All of our goats milk is hand milked with love, fresh from our herd of registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats! Many ingredients we use to handcraft our 100% naturally derived old fashioned, Esthetician approved goat milk soaps, goat milk lotions, salves, serums, tinctures and more are organically grown and wild harvested right here on our family farm. All of our goat milk soaps are made with the traditional cold process method of soap making - just like how grandma use to with the saponification of animal fats and oils with lye. We try to keep the whole process below 110 degrees F to preserve the benefits of our raw goats milk in our handcrafted soaps. We only use pure essential oils to scent our goat milk soaps and other natural skincare & body products. We never use palm oil, synthetic fragrance, dyes or parabens. The result is a hard - long lasting, creamy, ph balanced, moisturizing, healing bar of REAL soap that is a match for the most sensitive skin types and babies. We currently have about 25 varieties of our 100% natural goat milk soap - 8 are unscented, the rest are lightly scented with pure essential oils, a solid dish soap and goat milk laundry soap. There’s something honest about making things this way — slowly, by hand, and with care.
One of the reasons we brought dairy goats to our farm was so Sarabeth could start to make 100% natural goat milk soaps. We needed to bring simple natural handmade old fashioned farm soap to our family because we have very sensitive or dry skin and wanted something that was safe. Sarabeth has earned her Bachelors of Science with a double minor - specializing in Animal Science, Livestock reproduction & genetics, biology, chemistry, managing livestock, forage crops and Pre-Vet Studies from Middle Tennessee State University and is an Alumni there. Sarabeth also earned her DVM seat at Lincoln Memorial University.
Now we get to share the benefits of our 100% natural goat milk soaps with you and your family. That feels AMAZING and is a moment for gratitude! Thank you for supporting us, your local farmers and farmers markets. It keeps the community alive and abundant. There are only a few truly active small family farms left in historic Castalian Springs TN and we are proud to be one of them!
