Julia has informed me there are plans on the horizon.... But we arent going to be part of the castine community any longer. Not by our decision. Sadly it will be sometime be4 things are sorted out due to debts and such needing to be paid off be4 we can reopen anywhere.
This is why its so important for anyone who can donate to donate. Its sad how few have helped knowing how many people can....

To be absolutely clear:

SAFE HARBOR WAS NOT SHUT DOWN BY THE IRS, TAXES, OR ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY.
There were no unpaid IRS taxes.
There was no state action.
There was no forced closure of any kind.

I closed the business because I was running it completely alone, with no remaining staff, and it was no longer possible to operate safely or sustainably under those conditions.

Today I received new notices from the Town of Castine, including:
• A personal property tax bill that I do not owe
• A sewer bill for a business that is no longer operating
• No prior communication or clarification before these were sent

This has been an ongoing pattern for months — unclear communication, surprise notices, and misinformation spreading through town. It has taken a serious mental and emotional toll.

So let me make this clear:

The closure had nothing to do with taxes, the IRS, or any outside enforcement.
Any rumor suggesting otherwise is simply false.

I am sharing this because I’m done quietly letting false stories spread. All future issues will be documented publicly until I receive clear and accurate answers.
