Local Partner Spotlight: Raquelitas Tortillas! 🌮
From burritos to tacos to a crunchy plate of BYO Nachos, this Colorado company helps bring some of our students’ favorite meals to life! DCSD Nutrition Services uses Raquelitas tortillas in our burritos and tacos, their tortilla chips in our Build Your Own Nachos, and Quinoa Chips in most of our Bistro Boxes!

Family-owned and operated in Denver, Raquelitas grew from a small bakery on Larimer Street into a longtime Colorado tortilla maker. They also bring a commitment to sustainability—their facility runs on 100% wind and solar energy!

We’re proud to support local partners who help us serve delicious meals to students across Douglas County. Thanks, Raquelitas, for bringing a little Colorado crunch to our cafeterias!

Want to try them for yourself? Raquelitas tortillas will be featured in our Birria Quesadilla at the Taste of DCSD on October 21st at Castle View High School! Come enjoy a FREE sample and discover a new favorite!

Local Partner Spotlight: Bee Squared Apiaries! 🍯🐝

We’re giving a sweet shoutout to Bee Squared Apiaries, one of the local partners helping us bring a taste of Colorado to our school meals!

We use their honey to sweeten the creamy Greek yogurt in our Berry Crunch Parfait. It’s a little touch of local sweetness that brings all those delicious flavors together!

Colorado Proud Farm to School Meal Month is the perfect time to celebrate the local farms, producers, and businesses behind the foods we serve. Every partnership helps connect our students to the food being made right here in Colorado.

Thank you, Bee Squared, for being part of what makes our parfaits—and our local partnerships—so sweet!

The sweetness doesn’t stop here! Look for new entrées and sides featuring Bee Squared Honey in our next menu cycle. Can’t wait? Join us at Taste of DCSD for a sneak peek—and a taste of what’s coming!
