Our boys have one butcher hog left for purchase. Will have hanging weight on Tuesday. $5 per pound plus cut and wrap as well as farm call fee. These will be smaller framed then normal. Great time to fill your freezer with homegrown pork.

If anyone is looking for laying hens, I’m selling most of my flock 😅 life is crazy, I’ve got eggs stacking up each week. I’m selling to friends and family at a great discount, $10-15 per bird. They are all 1year old or less, actively laying. Blue, green, light brown, dark brown. Probably have 30+ birds available. Perfect time to start your own flock!

Also have 6 dozen eggs available. $25 (which is buy 5 get 1 free off my normal pricing). If not gone by Thursday, I’ll glass these for later use.

We have one pig left. Slaughter date is March 10th and will be cut and wrapped at LJs butcher shop in Kelso. $5 per pound plus truck fee paid to us, cut and wrapped paid to LJ’s. These guys are smaller framed meat hogs and will be a smaller hit to your pocket book than our normal meat pigs. They have been raised in pasture and local grains.

Boer doe. Will be 3 years old. Shorter doe, but stocky built. Sire was a full blood black paint Boer.

Trying my best to keep the chaos organized. Always feel better when pens are cleaned, waters are flushed, fresh bedding, and fences that were mended fast put back to being solid. Bring on spring!

We sold out of goats a few years back but we still have a couple to keep Nala in work when I don’t have calves for her to watch over. She’s quite a love if she knows you or you are kid. Lol

The joys of homeownership and old barns. Wind and rain has been CRAZY lately. Caught a small break in the weather to fix some roofing and re-bed pig pens.

We’ve had over 7.5” of rain this week already and it’s a muddy mess out there, but I’ll take the mud over flooding and evacuation- been there, done that midnight evacuation, NEVER want to do it again. I usually prefer the cold over the non-stop rain but atleast the pigs auto waters still work in the rain so I’ll deal with living in muck boots. Winter work around the farm takes longer, is harder, is darker, and overall makes me question my sanity and this year is testing my strength with very little barn space BUT it will make me appreciate the new barn so much more. Thankful for all the customers who supported us and choose to put BK Farms meat in their freezers each year. Your support doesn’t go unnoticed and we thank God daily for bringing YOU into our lives. 🖤
