The purple martins have returned, and we couldn’t be happier! We love watching their incredible aerial acrobatics as they swoop and glide through the sky, catching dinner on the wing. Their cheerful songs are one of our favorite sounds of the season.

These beautiful neotropical songbirds travel all the way from South America to spend their breeding season here, and it’s such a treat to have them back in South Texas. We’re already looking forward to the moment when the babies take their very first flight.

This year, they even got an upgraded house to help them better handle that famous South Texas heat — because our feathered visitors deserve the best! 🐦💜

We truly couldn’t ask for a better ranch sidekick. If you know the traits of a Belgian Malinois, you know they’re loyal, incredibly intelligent, alert, hardworking, and always ready for a job — and Wyatt is all of that and more.

He loves and protects us fiercely, always keeping a watchful eye on his people and his home. His confidence, bravery, and strong work ethic make him the ultimate guardian, but it’s his big heart and devotion that make him the best dog ever. Whether he’s patrolling the property, riding along, or just laying nearby making sure everyone is safe, he takes his role seriously.
