This is horrible! Feed companies buying euthanised animals from shelters and using them in feed! There needs to be better labeling or regulation on disposal of euthanised animals.

Some popular dog food brands are under recall after tests found extremely low levels of pentobarbital, a euthanasia drug, in the food.

Sold all the ducklings off for the year! It was a great first year breeding! 72 hatches this year from just four hens and one drake. I doubled the breeding line for next year so hopefully many more to come!!

RIP Lucy. My #1 buddy...I am beyond heartbroken. I've had dozens of ducks...but this was my pal. She imprinted on me. I have been crying for almost three hours now...she will be missed.

13 cuties piled up after their first swim!!

My 2 week olds and my 3 day olds have bonded!! The older guys showed the babies how to swim for the first time! Might be the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Im not sure what to keep! I have never seen a black duck with a solid white tail like this! Is it something special or just a black duck? I'm also really excited about the solid yellow with brown and white tips on tail...any ideas? (The parents are black pied and lilac loony...both carry barred) thanks!
