I'm sharing this fun opportunity to learn the Thriller Dance, led by my granddaughter Madaline Howell, just in time for Halloween! The next 2 Fridays from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Skamokawa Grange #425, and only $5 per session. Intended for ages 12 and up. Kids under 18 should be accompanied by a parent (because they probably want to learn the dance too.)

Then come to our Pumpkin Patch and Fall Farm Stand in October and show us your Thriller dance moves!

We're excited to be part of the Puget Island Autumn Passport again this year and super excited to have our neighbor, Free Bird Farm, join our group of businesses supporting the Passport!

Our group along with the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Passport Launch Party and Business After Hours on September 30th, 6:30 to 8 pm at Puget Island Gardens. We've been inspecting the pumpkin patch (with a little help), and the pumpkins are "oranging" up nicely. This upcoming stretch of sunny weather will help.

We're on track to open our Pumpkin Patch and Fall Farm Stand on Saturday, October 10th @ 10 am. Then, it will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am to 5 pm through Halloween. We'll have barrel train rides again this year thanks to Wahkiakum Historical Society and other fun things for the kiddos. And Puget Island Passport will be back this year too!

There's not many flowers around this farm anymore. However, I found this flower frog this morning in a pumpkin bloom. And close up, it looks like the sprinkler has created a little pool for him to soak in. Sweet!

I planted some corn amongst the pumpkins in the patch. It's a great place for this little guy to settle in, apparently.

Oh no! I haven't posted in so long! 146 days, apparently, as FB likes to remind me. I guess real life just gets in the way sometimes.

In case you're wondering, yes! I do have pumpkins growing for this year's pumpkin patch in October. I didn't get as much planted as I would have liked, but I think it will do. I am a one woman show with the grow part of this farm, after all. 😃

It's the time of year when the frogs sing their loud chorus of love after dark. This is the first one I've seen this late winter, basking in today's sunshine amongst the Dusty Miller.

We will be open tomorrow, Sunday 10/26, from 10 am to 5 pm. It's our last day for the season, so stop by and grab some pumpkins, local Honey, apples and winter squash. All Carving Pumpkins, regardless of size, are on sale @ $.59/lb.
