Chickens, the gateway farm animal
Back in 2015 we lived in the middle of Carson City, Nevada, dreaming of lush green fields, foggy mornings and rainy days. We also dreamed of having our own hobby farm because we shared a love of chickens, ducks and goats. Since then we’ve moved to Puget Island in the Pacific Northwest and are exploring that dream. Every day we get to spend time enjoying a cup of coffee, tossing scratch to our chickens and being pursued by ducks (and children) who want breakfast. The life is sweet, exasperating and fulfilling.
