Dahlias are fascinating flowers. There are tens of thousands of different cultivars with descriptive names like pompom, anemone, ball, collarette, and many others. The flowers range in size from 2 inches to 12 inches (called dinner plate dahlias) and can grow from 2 ft to 6 ft in height. They are native to Mexico and have been the national flower there since 1963. Plants grow from tubers, which multiply underground during the dahlia season. Those tubers were once considered food in Asia and European countries.
At Renzinnia Flowers, we have a wide variety of dahlias. They start to flower mid-summer and continue until the first hard frost. They are a favorite of many of our CSA customers.

Renzinnia Events had a wonderful time with our Paint A Bouquet Party. After a tour of the flower farm for inspiration, we learned how to paint a bouquet. Thanks to Paint the Town, we all learned something new. Everyone went home with a bouquet and a masterpiece. Fun was had by all. Check out our next event.
