Cool chart to help figure out due dates!

As most goat breeders are now in the midst of breeding season, it's very important to first plan or at least figure out when your does due date is going to be. This may seem trivial but it's vitally important when you suspect trouble either with the doe or fetuses as it will be the first question your vet will as when trying to help. Here is a very helpful chart to easily figure a due date out. Please note this is for 150 days gestation which is average (145-155) for a large breed goat. Miniature goat breeds such as Nigerian Dwarf have a slightly short gestation period average of 147 (145-150). I will be making a video on CIDRs and AI soon!

It was too crazy yesterday (I was absolutely exhausted at the end of the day) for me to get pictures or post but we made it to NY state fair yesterday! We also put the finishing touches on our display today and making our best shot for the Best Decorated Exhibit award. We also need to put up mesh tarps to put some escape artists on lock down but because of constant public qiestions, we had a little fun making a sign. The sign has been a hit and is now making people watching WAY more fun to see their reactions, chuckles, pictures, and days brightened! Stop by to see and say hi to us! We are here through labor day and show tomorrow and Saturday!
