To the loyal customers of Cafe Italia, past and present,

After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close the cafe indefinitely, as I was preparing to enter my seventh year at Dutchman’s Landing.

I want to sincerely thank all of the customers, friends, and supporters who have shown love to this business over the years. Your support, encouragement, and kindness have meant more to me than you know.

A special thank you to Village Board President, Natasha Law, for her support along the way. It is deeply appreciated.

This cafe has been such a special chapter in my life, and I’m truly grateful for every person who stopped by, placed an order, shared a kind word, or supported me throughout the years. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

While this chapter is coming to a close for now, this is not the end of the road for me. I’m excited for what the future may hold and will be sure to keep you updated on future ventures.

Last night, Café Italia was broken into. Our windows were smashed, our cash register was destroyed, and several sentimental items that have been part of our story since the beginning were taken.

While the café is closed to the public for the season, the holiday months are incredibly important to us. This is the time of year when cookie orders, pastries, and catering help keep our business going — and after last night, your support means more than ever.

If you’ve been planning to place a holiday cookie order, need pastries for a gathering, or are looking for catering for your holiday events, we would be so grateful if you chose to order with us. Every order helps us rebuild and continue serving the community we love.
