We expanded to Brookings-Harbor in 1980 where son Darrel and his wife Becky manage the restaurant. With the theme "Blame us if your life goes to Pizzas", we have always put our energy, resources, and imaginations to the test creating great food from fresh ingredients. With an interest in old world crafts and a desire to add beverages that matched the flavor and quality of the foods in our restaura

nts, we ventured into the brewing world. And so in 1990, using the name Steelhead Brewery, we began brewing our award winning beer. Our desire to build an establishment using new ideas and concepts in the restaurant and brewing industry led to the birth of our Grants Pass facility. There we had space to install old-world wood-fired ovens and a 15 BBL brewhouse with five fermenting tanks, four bright beer tanks, and a bottling line capable of 1800 BBL per year. Back when the idea for the Grants Pass expansion was germinating, we were having an identity crisis with the name of our business. The name "Pizza Deli" was a generic term and we wanted a name that would reflect the fact that we were also a brewery (remember that up until then, we had used the name Steelhead Brewery). Hence, in 1994, Wild River Brewing & Pizza Company was chosen as our new identity. Being in the heart of beautiful river country in Southern Oregon made it a natural choice. The Wild River Pub also has a large Publick House area that is designed for receptions, meetings, conferences, and any function where a large group of people can gather and enjoy a great meal. Our newest location is in Medford. The perfect blend of great food in a casual family setting or great micro-brews on tap in the bar section, you can have both at Wild River Medford. The wood-fired ovens and cooking areas are clearly visible, welcoming you into the restaurant. We would like to thank all of our loyal customers who continue to make Wild River a success. Headliner Carl Lee has spent years bringing his comedy to audiences across the country, touring alongside some seriously big names including Ron White, Mo’Nique, Bill Bellamy, and the late John Pinette.

His comedy has also taken him to the North Carolina Comedy Festival, Moscow Comedy Festival, and Redwood Comedy Festival, and you may recognize him from NBC’s Last Comic Standing or The Bob & Tom Show. Now, you get the chance to catch him live right here in Cave Junction!

🍕 Every great pizza starts the same way: fresh dough, quality ingredients, and hands that know what they're doing.

At Wild River, we don't cut corners. We make our dough in-house, top every pizza with fresh ingredients, and bake it in our wood-fired ovens for that signature flavor that's kept Southern Oregon coming back for decades.

🍕Before Wild River, there was Miller’s Shady Oaks Pizza Deli.

In June of 1975, Jerry and Bertha Miller started serving pizza in Cave Junction with a simple idea — great food made from fresh ingredients and a place where people could gather around the table.

Nearly 50 years later, pizza night is still going strong.

🍕 Some things just feel like home… and for a lot of us, it’s pizza at Wild River Cave Junction.

From after-school slices to family dinners that turned into late nights around the table, this place has been part of so many memories over the years. It’s where birthdays were celebrated, teams gathered after the game, and “just one more slice” somehow always turned into two.

Since 1975, when we first opened as Miller’s Shady Oaks, we’ve believed in keeping things simple, good food, made fresh, shared with the people you love. And while a lot has changed over the years, that feeling hasn’t.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: CORNED BEEF STOLEN 🚨

A sneaky leprechaun broke into Wild River Cave Junction and stole the corned beef before St. Patrick’s Day. Security footage shows a leprechaun fleeing the scene ... we checked everywhere, the walk-in, the prep line, even behind the pizza oven. Nothing but little green footprints.

But the good news?
He couldn’t steal the beer or the pizza.

So while the leprechaun enjoys his stolen feast, we’ll be here serving hot pizza, ice-cold beer, and plenty of Irish cheer. Come raise a pint with us this St. Paddy’s Day!
