Rogue Valley, Oregon

When Ted Gerber planted his first vines in 1974, he had the passion and courage to develop premium Pinot Noir and Alsace varietal vineyards in the remote southwest corner of Oregon. Today, as a testament to Ted’s vision, Foris produces elegant, complex wines, rich in flavor and texture, distinct to the microclimate and terroir of our estate vineyards.

We have had some very cold nights. Thankfully the wind machines and sprinkler system have keep the tender plant tissue safe and healthy for this years harvest. A big thank you must go out to our night watch crew who stay up and frequently go out in the cold wet nights to make sure all is running as it should.

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE…
If our dogwood tree (at FORIS’ home yard) had an aroma.
Would it be vanilla , like the stamens from an orchid, ?
Sweet honey like the honeysuckle flowers,?
Peachy- orange like orange blossoms, ?
Heavenly as a fresh lilac bloom?
I can only imagine.
