Our holiday baby extravaganza apparently wasn’t over! Lucy didn’t want to be left out of the baby action. She had a sweet filly on December 28th. This little girl will be staying here for at least the next couple of years. Welcome to the farm Ember!

It never gets old seeing new life arrive on the farm — especially at Christmas. This week we welcomed 13 healthy piglets and a sweet new calf!

Moments like this are a good reminder that some of the best things really are simple. We’re feeling extra grateful this Christmas for healthy babies, cold mornings in the barn, and the chance to care for them every day.

It always amazes me how “simple” good food can really be. These tomatoes started off as seeds in a packet and given the right environment, they grew into ripe tomatoes with very little help from me. When we eat this sauce this winter, it will remind us of warm summer days spent in the garden!

Clover kicked off our calving season with a beautiful, petite heifer calf a few days ago. This baby is 3/4 jersey and 1/4 angus. Clover’s girls usually stay on the smaller side so she may be staying here! Welcome to the farm, Piper!
