Second Saturday is in full effect!!! Come on out to Cawker City for some fun! AND....my FAVORITE food truck just opened up! The red taco truck!! I need to find their business tag, but you know who I'm talking about! Wine tasting at TJ Liquor, trading cards, 3D print booth, amazing air fresheners just $5, trading cards, SOURDOUGH breads, and Water Gun Fights in the park! LOVING our magical little town!!

Come on out tomorrow, Saturday the 13th, for our first Second Saturday Event! The Waconda Woodwinds will be playing at the Wisconsin Trading Post. Lots of fun for the kids, adults, and shopping the sidewalk sales! 4-8pm

AND just incase you haven't tried our wraps yet, here are some glamour shots! It's hard to know what you're getting at a restaurant sometimes. I certainly don't want to order a "wrap" and get something like would come from a fast food drive through. So here they are....beautifully stuffed with your favorite veggies, turkey or chicken salad, and spinach or sun-dried tomato basil wrap. They're a meal and a half! (and I have a secret about our sandwiches and wraps......so stay tuned!). 😁

Just 3 days until our first SECOND SATURDAY EVENT! We are so excited! We've had an awesome response so expect there to be booths set up with a variety of items being sold. And if you're debating having a booth, DO IT! Come on out! Bring a table and a chair, maybe a canopy, and set up! No fee to set up, just show up! There's plenty of room! Anyone selling produce, baked goods, jewelry, books, nail products, puppy pedicures, whatever! HEY....does anyone do puppy pedicures?!

The even twill run 4-8pm with all 3 food businesses open. We may not all have full menu availability, so check with each business. (We are not inviting food trucks other than our local trucks when they are available, to keep our event focused on boosting the business of our local establishments.)

AND.....we are restocked on cookies, cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, GF Peanut Butter Banana protein bars, and GF blueberry muffins.

Well we are a couple days late, but here is our exciting post to share! Starting June 13th, the Cawker City Merchants will be hosting a "Second Saturday" event each month over the summer. So June 13, July 11, and August 8th, from 4-8pm. These events will be open to anyone who would like to participate! We hope to create a fun evening in town for everyone to come out and hang out and shop a little and do fun activities! There will be things for adults, things for kids, things for everyone!

Watch for more info on what will be going on, and contact us if you'd like to do something! You or your kids could have a booth/table to sell things, create things (art/face painting/balloon animals, puppy massages, whatever!) or you could set up a game--literally anything goes! Get creative, encourage your kids to get creative, and come on out and connect with the community! Open to all!

Hey there, Cawker City! Important post here! As always, we have some good news and some bad news.... Let's start with the bad.

Our big espresso machine is still awaiting parts, so we are still chug chug chugging it along with our little tiny espresso machine that could! We still have hot drinks, they just take longer than desired. Thank you for your patience, and if you are debating between a hot or iced drink, now is a good time to go iced! 😆 We promise our big machine will be back up and running soon.

That was it. Nothing else bad going on here other than the fact that we've been so stinking busy lately, we are running out of products some days. So if you have your heart set on something special, come early, call ahead, or place your order in advance! We prefer you do NOT place large orders online though. Sometimes things go fast in the shop and if we're really busy, we don't always get items moved to "out of stock" quickly. If we are out of something you've ordered online, we will call you and figure out something else for you. If you'd like to place.a large order, please call and talk with us so we can get you squared away!

And now for the GOOD! Together with the other Cawker City Merchants, we are bringing a new event to town! Watch for tomorrow's post to find out details!

HEY HEY HEY, Cawker City! Where to begin?!? How about with this--we recently had the opportunity to meet Makenna and Christopher Kirkham as they came to Cawker City to do what they do--photograph the town and taste local treats! Check out their videos! We were so honored to be able to share a little history of our area, show them some Cawker City love, and have them try our bierocks, cinnamon rolls, and pecan rolls. Not surprisingly, I think they liked them! 😁 It was fun visiting with them and we look forward to them coming back in the future!

Memorial Day weekend was a whirlwind! Thank you everyone for your patronage and your PATIENCE as we went into the weekend with a broke down espresso machine and no oven. 😵‍💫 But we survived! We did sell out of quite a few items, but we are fully RESTOCKED! We have pecan rolls, cookies, and LOTS OF BIEROCKS in stock, so come get some!! Overall we had a great time and learned a lot about how to serve you all even better in the future!

Watch for more updates as we get into our summer groove and get more posting done more often! (When you haven't seen anything posted, that usually means we are really busy at the shop and/or that Julie can't find her laptop once again!) 😆 So we are bringing on someone to take over our social media so we can be more consistent at getting updates and posts and tantalizing photos of all of our amazing foods to you! Great things are happening at the shop, so come on down and see what we've got going on!
