Hello, Farm Friends! We are going to incubate some eggs for our flock and wondered if anyone would also be interested in day old chicks? We only need a few but can incubate up to 40. Let us know!

We’ve reached the point where we must call time on egg season for our hens while they take their winter break. We only collected 3 eggs today. Did you know that egg production is dictated by hours of daylight?

Our girls are definitely slowing down as the days grow shorter since we don’t add supplemental lighting to the coop.

This means that we won’t have as many eggs available for sale because we like to make sure the ladies get their well-earned break. If you’d like to message me before heading out for eggs to find out if we have some, please feel free!
