I think about the “why” behind what we do almost daily, and more often than not, it’s about the people just as much as it is the cows.
I think that’s true for most of us in this business.
We first met Brayden last spring when his family purchased Karma off the Breeders Bash at Betley Farms. He showed her as a fall calf at the Midwest Show, and we knew right away he was hooked.
A year later, it’s been pretty special to watch his interest turn into pure joy and excitement every time he shows Karma. He even got to take her home for a few weeks over the summer to prepare for his county and state fairs. When she returned, his mom told us he had been washing her daily.
In an industry where success can so easily be tied to placings, this is a reminder we needed.
A junior, an opportunity and experiences that are literally shaping him. That’s really what it’s all about.
