Can you help us find Emmie's forever home? She's as sweet as they come, AKC, has hip dysplasia, is spayed, 2 1/2 years old, UTD, and adores people and children. We are looking for a better home for Emmie because our main business takes a lot of time, and Emmie can't/won't come down the stairs to hang out in the studio with us; and our other dogs don't like her much, so the dynamics are hard and everyone is pretty stressed these days. We would love to see her find her people ASAP so that she can have the sweet and happy life that she deserves. Located in Kentucky; please feel to share! Contact us with any questions.

Andy is my idea of a dream dog.

We'd just fed the cats, then were all in different rooms for a bit doing chores this morning. When I came back between 5 and 10 minutes later, this was the scene: Treasure the Pushover was happily eating her breakfast in peace, while Andy had put himself in a down at a distance and looked on. I was too late with the camera to catch his calm expression, but this was 100% the behavior. And he hadn't eaten his own breakfast yet.

WOW. Our other dogs would have pushed her out of the way and snarfed her food by this time (and they have), but not this dog. Plus his amazing hips, beautiful movement, natural ears, and decent conformation. Dream dog.

Tuesday Tip:
This picture we found on the internet is amazing & we had to share. Coyotes can easily scale a 6 ft fence. Donโ€™t ever let your pets out unattended. Just because you have a large dog, please donโ€™t think they are safe. Coyotes travel in packs & donโ€™t discriminate. All size dogs are at risk & fences wonโ€™t keep them out of your yard. Itโ€™s Coyote mating season, please keep your pets safe & always go out with them, if no fence, make sure they are on a leash with you.

About Us

When we moved to Kentucky in the spring of 2010, we had no idea that we would come to love poultry so much, but we sure do. The need for a good farm dog became apparent quickly and our search to find the right breed - let alone the right dog - took years. Through trial and error (and error), we realized the value a dog with a family temperament, high biddability, that stays home, guards birds without chasing, and was small enough to be easily carried in an emergency. We found our way to the Scotch Collie at the end of 2013, which wasn't easy as they're incredibly hard to find. We love the Scotch Collie more and more every day, how he shines in our family and on our farm.

We are a small, serious program and members of the Old-Time Scotch Collie Association. We breed first for our pillars: health, temperament, working ability, and type, as well as for poultry affinity, longevity, and natural breeding and low-intervention mothering. Our dogs live in the house with us and are pets first. Here is an idea of what we offer: - Genetically-tested parents and puppies - Avidog education and protocols - Family-raised in a small farm setting - Premium Puppy Packets - 6-year health warranty - Lifetime Support and โ€œAnytimeโ€ Return ...and so much more. A note on our philosophy: Weโ€™re not anyone special and believe in serving our puppy families to the best of our abilities. We understand that as preservation breeders, we canโ€™t move forward in our program without our amazing owners who understand our goals and believe in them as much as we do. We love working together to build great relationships and a great family of dogs, and that life is better for everyone with trust and open communication. We are always here to help.

We believe that our programโ€™s focus on developing good poultry prospects and great family dogs will be a real benefit to those who are seeking this type of dog. Sincerely, John and Jennifer Sinclair Rosewyn Farm Scotch Collies Cecilia, Kentucky
