Good morning! Our markets may be over for the year, but we’re still working hard on the farm to get ready for winter. Between adding 25 yards of compost to next year’s annual field, planting 50 peony roots and other spring bulbs, field cleanup, ordering seeds and plugs, digging dahlia tubers, and finishing up a few wreaths for you lovely people, I am staying busy doing what I love.
Here’s a picture of one of the last arrangements I made for my home this year. I miss the fresh flowers so much already, but I’m still somehow harvesting strawflower and yarrow in November. Doesn’t seem right…
Anyway, I’m going to try to keep you all updated on what we do here in the winter. One of our upcoming tasks is beehive winterization and honey extraction. 💕 Happy Wednesday all!
