A couple of weeks ago, KatRichterRealtor put that question out there on social and after a few enthusiastic hand-raising emojis, she made it happen.❤️

Friday morning she showed up with three wonderful women from Cedar Rapids—Rina, Rebecca and Tami—and we spent a beautiful August morning in the flower field picking blooms, talking, laughing and making some seriously gorgeous bouquets.

Rina Kensen is the woman behind Aligned Collective, connecting women in business with community, resources and support. Rebecca manages rich people’s money. Tami works with the Marion Chamber of Commerce and is busy helping our local business community thrive.

So basically, I had some really impressive women out at the farm.

And then there we were, in the flower field, all of us with snips and buckets in our hands.

The sky was blue, the weather was beautiful, and my row of lisianthus was putting on quite a show. I cut a bunch for them while they picked some other pretties. The beautiful, ruffled purple and pink lizzies received many oohs and ahhs!

Kat has been coming back for flowers for a few years now and I love that this time she brought her people along.

This is one of my favorite things about having a flower farm: women who spend their days in the city working, building businesses, serving their communities and making things happen get to come out here and just… pick flowers. No walls, no deadlines, no computers.

Thanks for coming, ladies, I hope you enjoyed your time out here! You all are welcome anytime! And Kat? Keep hyping things that you love! 🩷🌸😎

And a few nights ago, Audrey and her daughter came back again—this time to pick flowers! It made me smile when I saw them out in the flower field together.🥰

From wedding days to flower-picking days… for me, these good memories don’t really end—they just keep growing!💛🧡🩷🌸🌼👩‍🌾

You wander through the field, choosing the blooms that catch your eye, and before you know it, you’re carrying home a little piece of summer.

This nice couple stopped by to pick Thursday evening and I loved seeing them enjoy the flower field together. 💛Thanks so much for visiting Jenna Bell Rinaldi | Holistic Movement Practitioner (They listened to me go on and on about the history of this homestead and about the flowers😊)

There’s so many flowers blooming, I can’t wait till Thursday and Friday when we do it all again!💛🌼👩‍🌾
