Here’s to all the grandpas and grandmas whose purpose in life is simple:

Love the grandchildren unconditionally.
Spoil them absolutely rotten.
Fill them with snacks, stories, laughter, and questionable ideas…
Then send them home! 😄

Today, we raise a pint to the keepers of family stories, the dispensers of wisdom, and the wonderfully irresponsible enablers of “just one more treat.”

🍺 PROST! NA ZDRAVÍ! AND CHEERS FROM DERANGED CZECH BREWING! 🇩🇪🇨🇿🇺🇸

From September 19 through October 4, Munich once again comes alive for Oktoberfest, raising steins, sharing tables, and celebrating one of the world’s great b**r traditions.

Here at Deranged Czech Brewing, we raise our own glass in salute to the German and Czech brewing traditions that crossed the Atlantic with generations before us and, to the malt, hops, yeast, patience, and craftsmanship that have connected people around a table for centuries.

And we raise it with gratitude here in the United States of America, a country where we have the freedom to honor where we came from, build something of our own, and perhaps become just a little deranged along the way.☺️ 🇺🇸

So as Munich prepares to celebrate Oktoberfest 2026, somewhere in Iowa a batch of DCB Czechtober Festbier is quietly l***ring, taking its sweet time and getting ready for its own celebration.

To heritage, tradition, freedom... and to a damn fine l***r. 🍺

It’s brew day today. Sorry, no video. 😕 It’s a batch of Czechtober Festbier! You’ve seen me brew this before. 😏 I do have a couple exciting new brews I’ve been working on; The wife has requested a Rice L***r..🤦‍♂️ Not, necessarily in the excitement category. But, happy wife… blah, blah. Then a Czech Dark L***r with cane syrup from a friend in Alabama. Inspired by Munich Meets Vilnius. He asked, what is Lithuania? I said, it’s like Alabama! 😎 I may name it, Sweet Home Bohemia!

Today we celebrate the freedoms that have allowed generations of dreamers, builders, farmers, brewers, and families to pursue their passions and create something worth sharing.

As our nation marks its 250th birthday, we're reminded that the greatest traditions are built one generation at a time. Here's to the people who came before us, those serving today, and everyone helping write the next chapter of America's story.

Whether you're gathered around a backyard grill, watching fireworks with family, enjoying time with friends, or raising a well-crafted l***r, I hope your Independence Day is filled with laughter, gratitude, and unforgettable memories.
