When we started gowing on our homestead in 2019, we saw potential. The soil was clay, hard, tired, biodiversity was limited, and the vision for what this land could become existed mostly in notebooks, sketches, and conversations around the kitchen table.
Fast forward to today, and the transformation has been incredible. Our orchard has grown from newly planted trees into a thriving system of fruit trees, shrubs, berries, and beneficial plants working together. We've seen more birds, more pollinators, healthier soil, and stronger tree growth year after year. The land feels more alive with each passing season.
One of the biggest changes we've noticed has been since incorporating REGENiGROW in the fall of 2024. The trees came into this season healthier, greener, and more vigorous than we've seen before. Root development, new growth, and overall plant resilience have all improved as we've focused on feeding the soil biology that supports everything above ground.
Now we're beginning the process all over again in new areas of the farm. Our pumpkin patch is underway, flower fields are taking shape, and we're excited to continue building healthy soil from the ground up. This year we're also exploring the use of locally sourced wool as a natural mulch to suppress weeds, conserve moisture, and add organic matter back into the soil over time.
What excites us most isn't just what we're growing—it's what we're building. A healthier ecosystem. A more resilient farm. A place where healthy soil produces nutritious food, beautiful flowers, and a stronger connection to the land.

15 years of planting gardens and we are still trialing new things and going way overboard. We are trying landscape fabric to help get a handle on weeds this year but we have 50 tomatoes and about 100 peppers in the ground. I did go reasonable with 4 zucchini and 4 cucumber. But in the last week we have added a dozen shrubs tp the home orchard and replaced 3 trees. Farm planting has commenced and we have flower seeds in the ground wildflower patch seeded, sunflower circle planted and ready to start the pumpkin patch. The bean fence had its first succession sowed and tomorrow I sow the second succession. Hopefully this week we can get the bees moved up as well.

Had a very busy productive weekend. Hauled in 15 yards of mulch for the home orchard and planted 3 new trees and dozen new bushes. Got the garden and new fenced area at the farm and a large swath outside the fence. We have the start of flowers planted as well as wildflower field and ready for pumpkins. Looking like the bees may have split again so we will have to watch and wait!!

Spreading mothers day love to some of my coworkers. Made these simple wild bouquets. Planted these white sonata Amaryllis April 3rd added some REGENIGROW twice but what beautiful blooms we get to enjoy now!

Seriously loving these amaryllis. But can you believe the difference in these 2 plants. The blooming one I gave 2 doses of regenigrow when watering. The other one just had plain water. They were all planted in the same soil on April 3rd. 26 days later and I am astonished at the difference in growth. This is one way of succession sowing. We have REGENiGROW for sale now. Look at the greenhouse! Are we slow yes, should the flowers be further along absolutely. Are we still pushing forward and working with it 100% I am still so excited about keeping snapdragons alive in the greenhouse and having over 1000 seedlings that im trying to keep moving.
