We are incredibly honored to share that Happy Place recently received a generous grant from . We never take for granted the trust our community places in us, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to turn this support into meaningful impact.

Because of this gift, we’ll be able to create more space in our support programs this fall and make important accessibility improvements to our website, helping more people connect with and participate in everything Happy Place has to offer.

The last few weeks have truly been a whirlwind, especially with our first Be Happy! Bash in there. Even with the big event, we have been hosting classes non-stop: field trips, High Interest Days, Scout Days, the Mother’s Day Make & Take, and finales for our school year programs (to name a few!) There have been many, many delightful days cooking together in the kitchen. And so many kids asking “can I come back here?!” which really just makes our hearts extra full. 💓🧑‍🍳

Thank you to everyone who has sent their children to us this school year. We feel lucky to get to work with them and to get to know them! Happy Place is a special place but what makes it most special is our amazing students!

The school year isn’t quite over yet but almost! We are busy bees working behind the scenes on summer camps! We cannot wait to see many friends again this summer - and to make new friends too!

Summer camp season is almost here, and we have something FUN to celebrate! ☀️🧢

Introducing our limited-edition Happy Place hats! Featuring our signature multicolor logo, these lightweight trucker hats are perfect for camp days, beach trips, park outings, and all the summer adventures ahead.

This is a PRE-ORDER, meaning hats will be ready for students on their first day of camp! We’ll ask for your camper’s information at checkout so we know when to send it home. We’ll also offer early June pickup for anyone who just can’t wait until camp or those of you who are just big fans of Happy Place but don’t have a camper (we 💖 you!!)

We’re still soaking in the joy of Saturday night. 💛

Thank you for showing up and for believing in this work. You filled the room with so much warmth. You were so incredibly generous. Our first Be Happy! Bash was everything we hoped it could be, and more...because of you.

When we looked around the room, we didn’t just see attendees. We saw the community that has carried Happy Place from an idea to a living, breathing kitchen where people of all ages and abilities can come together. Because of your generosity, we are able to welcome more students and continue to build a space where everyone truly belongs. That impact will be felt every single day in our kitchen.

But beyond the dollars raised—we’re still finalizing that total and will share it soon—what meant the most was the feeling in the room: the FUN!, the connection, and the shared belief in something bigger than ourselves. It was a powerful reminder of exactly why we do this.
