Honey Creek Orchard

Honey Creek Orchard A fun and unique farm experience for the entire family to enjoy.

A blank canvas that we bought and created a farm to make memories with our children while teaching them where their food comes from, work ethic and business principles and sharing the love and joy of food and hard work with family and friends. All the activities to play, farm animals to see, apples and pumpkins to pick, enjoy delicious apple donuts and other farm goodies and more!

Tri county tournament time!
This was their last year shooting together at the same distance. Next year Owen moves up to 25 yards.
is such a wonderful organization that has many projects to choose.
Owen and Charlie have done Archery again and this was the ending tournament.

It is truly self vs self. How far they’ve individually grown, learned and can apply it to today’s final shoot. It is nice to watch them that it is not friendly competition between them but friendly brotherhood of encouragement, sportsmanship and learning.

We are thankful for the 4H community to continue so many opportunities for so many kids and families.

We missed National Agriculture Day yesterday

Credit to for being an amazing creator of content for the farm.

We couldn’t be more thankful for your continued show of supporting local farms and families like ours. Preserving farm land, eating locally grown food and knowing where your food comes from.

He may be understaffed but the things we can do and we’ve learned are priceless.

It’s more than we could ever imagine and while we don’t know the ending, we do know the value.

It’s funny that Facebook sends me a message “ you haven’t posted in 15 days. Posting more gets more engagement. Create a post now?”

This winter we’re more quiet on the farm. While yes we are taking care of our daily chores and animals, fixing equipment and doing new projects, we’re also recouping from sickness and pains, cleaning up and prepping, and just existing this season.

Keeping up social media is hard because we don’t post just to post. We try and make our farm life things interesting, relative and useful. We try and share our work with you, share our trials and errors and share the joy and skills that have come from this life.
However in Facebook world, 15 days without a post is just too long…
As the kids have gotten older they have asked to be less present on social media and we 100% respect that and understand.
It’s a fine line of sharing.

So in the current season.. there’s not much to share…
Spring will be here soon. Pruning all the trees has began, seed purchasing and selection has been completed, projects are mid-done, and we long for a deep freeze for the health of our orchard.

Thankful for your continued interest, support and encouragement, always.

Happiest 14th Birthday Owen! Time flies when you’re out having fun on all of your adventures ❤️

Next chapter: hunting season

Many may not understand it but that’s ok.
Taking these months to fully pursue and enjoy this season is something we look forward to. The pursuit of true patience.
For us, Hunting encompasses more than just the highlight picture of success, it’s a full lifestyle from farm to table of months of prep, hours of work, endless patience.
It’s memory making, sustainability, life skills and more.

It’s been nice to sit in the stands with the kids, listen to their stories, see their excitement and shakes when the deer come, experience the disappointment of misses and understanding of what happened and how to grow, and so much more.

It’s a blessing to have the opportunity to do these things. To hunt alongside our children. To experience life alongside them. To make memories. So many things.

Hailee was home this year a lot getting ready for her next venture
We are excited for her and so very proud. We can’t wait to see what her first season has in store.

Oh it’s clean up time
The hustle and bustle of 8 weeks ended so now we clean up.

Everything you play on, pick, and see gets put away. We don’t leave much out over Winter as we hope it makes it last a little longer.
Every block, every photo op, every tractor, every pumpkin, everything finds a winter home. The animals get set for Winter with tarps and boards. The barn gets emptied so no critters or leftovers. The land gets cleared to rest and wait for snow.

We don’t have a magical 10 person crew to get it done in a timely fashion. We have our farm hands and making progress everyday to be done.

The slowness also means our prime month of Hunting is upon us. We hunt a lot this month and it’s something to look forward to after a great Farm Season.

We love the continued support of the Farm fridge goods too! Gotta still enjoy deliciousness even though it’s chilly.

Enjoy Autumn and all it brings 🍁

2025 Fall season has wrapped up and has come to a close.

Each fall our Farm comes alive because of all of you…our amazing community and supporters, your families (and our own family from near and far ❤️) our friends and so many new faces.
You bring the excitement and liveliness to our farm when you’re making lasting memories, you’re picking apples and pumpkins, you’re enjoying Hailee’s fresh apple cider donuts, petting the animals, sitting on Farmer Joe’s tractors and so much more.

Your support is deeply appreciated to our entire family.

As we close this season people ask “now what do you do?” While we chuckle a little because farmers never really have a day off, November and December definitely are a welcomed slowness for all of us.
We clean up the farm, catch up on all the things we put aside for 8 weeks, we hunt, we see family and friends, we shop without a hustle, we have an entire cup of hot coffee all in one sitting :) we give thanks, we enjoy the quiet weekends and we rest.
While we are already thinking of the start of planning, pruning and planting for 2026…right now…our hearts our bursting with Thanks to you all.

From our family to yours — thank you.

With love,
Joe, Grace, Hailee, Owen and Charlie
