Ok folks here is the short and long of it. Hairy can't open. City requires a brick and mortar permit for the model we have had for the past 7 years. We no longer have our location. On top of that we were trying to sell the business to someone who could continue to devote their time to Hairy and continue the tradition. The business is still for sale . How can you save the Hairy Gorilla. .location location location.

To all our Hairy Gorilla Customers and fans...We wish you the very Merriest Christmas and we pray blessings on you and your home for this New Year.

When we opened in 2017 it was our desire to live out Luke 6:38 To give back to this community, in the form of servanthood. We wanted to be the place where kids could come hang out, and families could make memories, and to be more than just a seasonal snowball stand. We have always strived to be a blessing in Celina, to the residents, and to our schools and churches and even our neighboring communities. No one has ever come to the Gorilla and left without a snowball if they wanted one...It was our desire to Give not just take or make money. My team always knew the heart behind Hairy and would put Luke 6:38 into action by having a heart to give, to show love and kindness to all.
It has been our GREAT privilege and honor to serve you over the past 7 seasons. We've seen kiddos grow up, graduate, get their first jobs, learn to drive, celebrate wins, birthdays, and anniversaries and all the summer togetherness and that has always given us so much joy. You've helped us have the BEST time during Cajun Fest and our beloved Shark Week. We will always remember your order and just how you like your snowballs from the easiest to the most difficult (you know who you are...;) )
We had hoped to continue celebrating with you for years to come but unfortunately we will not be reopening in the Spring. We have spent the past couple of months trying to keep Hairy from having to close, but we are no longer able to stay in the location we are currently at and our buyer who wanted to carry the torch had to back out. So, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to all our customers young and young at heart. I want to say a special thank you to EVERYONE who played a part in making Hairy the greatest place, in my opinion, in Celina. Please know we LOVE YOU ALL!
