🌽 THE MAZE IS ALMOST HERE! 🌽

Opening Saturday, September 19th for the season! 🎉

This season is going to be filled with lots of fun, food & FAIR! 🎡🌽

For 2026, we’ve etched the name of our neighbors across the river into the corn—Fryeburg Fair, Maine’s Blue Ribbon Classic! 🏆

They celebrate all things agriculture, and we think that’s pretty neat. After all, what better way to celebrate agriculture than by putting it in corn? 😉

So, it’s fair to say… this year’s maze is going to be one you don’t want to miss!

🌽 IT’S CORN MAZE TIME! 🌽

We’ve been keeping our new maze design under wraps… but we’re getting closer to letting you in on the secret! 👀🌽

This year, we’re proud to partner with the Fryeburg Fair — Maine’s Blue Ribbon Classic for a corn maze that celebrates the agricultural community we love and the traditions that bring us together.

The maze opens September 19th and runs through October 25th — weekends only, 11 AM–5 PM.

🎟️ Tickets go on sale September 4th!

We’re not quite ready to reveal the whole design yet… but trust us, you’re going to want to get lost in this one. 😉

Yesterday, we talked about knowing where your beef comes from.

Today, we want to remind you that your local farmer is right here.

Every single day, we're growing food, raising animals and working hard to do it as transparently as possible.

And if you have questions?

ASK.

Want to know where and how your steak was raised? Ask us.

Want to know what our cattle eat? Ask us.

Wondering what variety of corn you're eating? Ask us.

Curious about how we grow your vegetables, care for our animals or make the food you take home to your family?

We'll happily talk with you. In fact, we love it.

That's one of the biggest differences between buying directly from your local farmer and picking up a package at the grocery store. You can actually talk to the people who grew it, raised it and put it in your hands.

Cheaper Beef. But What Are You Really Buying?

You’ve probably heard the news: more imported beef is coming into the United States in an effort to bring down the price of beef at the grocery store.

And we understand. Everybody wants to save money.

But before you compare the price per pound, we think it’s worth asking a few more questions.

Where did that animal come from?
How was it raised?
What was it fed?
What kind of animal husbandry practices were used?
And how much do you really know about the beef once it reaches the grocery store?

At Sherman Farm, we know exactly where our beef comes from.

We know the cattle.
We know what they eat.
We know the people caring for them.
We know where they were raised.
And we stand behind the quality of the beef we put in our case.

And here's the truth:

Our beef will probably never be the cheapest beef you can buy.

We aren't trying to compete with the lowest price on the grocery store shelf.

We're raising cattle here in New England, feeding them well, caring for them every day, and putting a quality product on your table. That comes with a cost.

But what you get in return is something you can't put a price tag on:

You know where your beef came from.
You know who raised it.
And you know the people who stand behind it.

So maybe the question isn't, “Why does your beef cost more?”

Maybe it's:

The calves are growing, and we like ’em stout and made real good. 💪🐮

Our pasture grasses are doing their job, keeping the mamas well-fed and in milk while the little ones grow strong.

And honestly, there’s not much prettier than a herd of cows out on lush green grass on a summer day. 💚

Good grass. Good mamas. Growing calves.
