The Fryeburg Fair 4-H Livestock Auction is TODAY at 11AM!

Young livestock producers will be bringing their market steers, hogs and lambs to the auction — animals they’ve spent months feeding, caring for, training and preparing.

And here’s the really cool part:

You can fill your freezer AND support the next generation of farmers. ❤️

These kids are learning what it takes to raise livestock from start to finish. They’re learning responsibility, animal care, business, agriculture and what it means to put your name behind something you’ve worked incredibly hard for.

We get it. And honestly, it’s one of the reasons we believe so strongly in knowing exactly where your food comes from.

The beef in our freezer was bred, born and raised right here at Sherman Farm.

It doesn't travel across the country or from another continent.
It doesn't change hands.
It doesn't disappear into a complicated supply chain.

It travels about one mile down the road for processing — and that is the only time these animals ever leave the farm and our watchful eyes.

From the pasture to the barn to the freezer, we know these cattle. We know where they came from. We know what they’ve been fed. And we know exactly where they’re going.

We’ve had A LOT of people reaching out about sides of beef lately.

And while we absolutely love hearing that more families want to know where their beef comes from, there’s a little problem…

Our beef waiting list is now into 2028. 😳

And we’re not alone. Many local farms are at capacity, with long waiting lists for freezer beef.

So what’s a family looking for local meat supposed to do?

👉 Head to the Fryeburg Fair 4-H Livestock Auction! Friday Oct 9th at 11am.

The Fryeburg Fair hosts a 4-H auction featuring market steers, hogs and lambs raised by some pretty incredible young livestock producers. We will be filling our freezer with some lamb this year!

These kids have poured months of hard work, early mornings, feed, care, training and a whole lot of heart into their projects. ❤️ Our own farm kids will have 2 hogs and 1 steer in the auction!

And when you bid at the auction, you’re doing more than filling your freezer.

🥩 You’re putting local meat on your family’s table.
🐖 You’re supporting the next generation of livestock producers.
🐑 You’re investing in agriculture right here in our community.
❤️ And you’re helping a kid see that all that hard work matters.

We’ve got tons of games, activities and farm fun to keep kids — and kids-at-heart — entertained all day long!

This October, we’re having a little extra fun supporting some pretty awesome kid entrepreneurs! 💪🏼

Join us THIS WEEKEND at the corn maze and meet two seriously talented teenagers who are already making things happen with businesses of their own:

🎨 Aubrey will be here with her face painting skills — because getting lost in a corn maze isn’t enough excitement for one day. 😂

🧪 Keegan from White Mtn Slime Co. will be helping you make your very own slime! Because what could possibly go wrong when you give kids slime at a farm? 😜

These two have found a way to turn their creativity, hard work and big ideas into successful little businesses — and we LOVE being able to give them a place to share what they do!

The weather for our area has taken a very happy turn, and that means THE CORN MAZE IS OPEN TOMORROW! 🎉

Round up the kids, grab the grandparents, bring your favorite people, and come get lost with us! 🍂🌽

We’ll be open tomorrow from 11am–5pm for a whole lot of family fun on the farm.

The forecast looks GREAT. The corn is ready. The Moo Express is waiting. And getting lost has never been so much fun! 😄
