Most know and most don't....i made the hardest decision of my life to downsize my goat herd. We spent 8 years expanding our herd up from 4-5 does. Purchased a baby Billy just weaned and raised him up with what little does we had, and began our expanding journey. Brought in new Billy bloodlines periodically and kept it going. I kept 14 goats out of 32 total. I did not sell out completely, because one day when I have more time (when my kids get a little older) I MIGHT decide to expand back out. With 2 kids (2 & 6) plus an upcoming surgery, it was best to downsize for right now.
