The garden is starting to come in with promises of squash this week. We have so much going on this year while we build mom and dad’s place that I almost despaired of putting in the garden at all. I stood among tomatoes plants and okra this morning grateful that we took the time to drop some seeds in the ground. I spread things out this year to accommodate the tiller. I’m not sure we would have a garden at all if we couldn’t run through the weeds this year. Even though I have other methods that I prefer for long term soil building, some seasons require you to flex if you’re going to survive.
