We just wanted to let you know that the farmstand will be shut down for a while, as the hens are on hiatus (probably from the change in the weather). We will make a post when they start laying agin.

We still have plenty of flowers left to move, so be sure to stop and see the selection. All baskets are $15, veg starts are $3, and the 9" pots are only $10. You can stop by any time before dark and help yourself, cash or CC. We are at 5162 Hall Rd 43011

We also wanted to remind everyone that they are opening Updike Road in the evenings after they are done for the day, and depending on where they are working and where the trucks are lined up, you can get thru without taking the detour. See the map below.

Memorial Day Sale!

Now that it's finally warming-up, it's time to think about spiffing-up our front yards, porches, etc. And we have the perfect thing: beautiful flowers!

I wanted to give everyone an update on the road work/closures on Updike.

They are currently widening the road over the next 4 weeks, and it may be closed (or show-up as 'closed' on the map-apps) during work hours. Typically, they open it up after 5pm, but if not, here is a map I highlighted to show how to get around the mess. It's very easy to get around.

If you are coming in from the west on Olive Green, just take Rich Hill Rd around the block to Hall. If you are coming from Mt Vernon, turn right at the stoplight w/the gazebo (Clayton St) and take that to Hall.

We have our amazing flower baskets ready, just in time for Mothers Day, which is right around the corner!

Several different sizes and selections, as well as vegetable starts. Small hanging baskets are $20, larger hanging baskets are $25, and an assortment of other containers (prices listed on the table).

Its all self-serve. You can leave cash in the box, or use the QR code to make secure Credit Card payments.

This year, I have them on the trailer so that I can wheel them all back inside in case another storm pops up. So if you don't see the trailer, just stop by the house and we can bring them out for you.

It's market day! Throw on a rain coat and stop out to the Mount Vernon Farmer's Market this morning to pick up this season's flower pots and baskets! They make great Mother's Day gifts!

It’s here! The first day of the Mount Vernon Farmers Market for 2025 is this Saturday, May 3. We have a great lineup of vendors for this week. Bagel Notes, Sigler Bakery, Simply Sweets, Stacie’s Pastries, The Least of These, Baked For You, Nunda Valley Produce, Angry Acres, Bee Kind Acres, Wesco Produce, Green Valley Acres, Green Valley Sweet Corn, LC Garden and Grove, Honey Bee Acres, Plot and Pasture, Sue’s Herbs and Jellies, Sweet Grass Dairy, Tangled Up Farms, Veggies and Eggs by Dan, Hickey Family Farm, Hopewell Farm. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the square from 9 to noon.
