Oh yeah!!! 🥰 We got baby goats again!! I’ve had to drastically reduce breeding this year due to family commitments and I’ve missed the birthing and baby goat chaos. But my oldest doe Jewel gave me 2 beautiful doelings on Saturday evening!! Yay!!

Spent the morning getting the goats out to their summer pastures I love that they can graze our property. Keeps them nice and healthy. What’s on your agenda this weekend?

Good Friday morning!!

I did end up working yesterday. It started off cold and gloomy. It stayed cold but the sun came out. I got my summer pastures ready for my goats and a wild jungle off my permanent fencing. (Thanks to my great neighbor Jim!)

Do you move your animals by season? Best decision I ever made for my herd health-wise was to do rotational grazing!!

This is a picture of my youngest daughter and one of our baby goats a few years ago. She helps me a lot at the barn…especially this year that this was taken. She took night duty that year and helped me feed baby goats that needed to be fed thru the night. I was so happy for the help. And she definitely got attached. (As one does.)
