It's been 27 years and I still feel it when I see pictures like this (or sit on hard chairs). Only it was a train track that got me. I was knocked unconscious, sprained my wrist and broke my tailbone.
Wear your helmets, kids!

We can help with that 😂🦃

Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.

From failure to the promise of success.
I tried to sterilize some old potting mix in the grill and ended up catching it on fire. I know, I know. Total bone head move. But it's over 100⁰ still and I didn't want to heat up the house. 🤦‍♀️
After putting out the flames I mixed it with a new bag. Ash is good for the garden. It turned out a beautiful black that you just can't get with a mostly peat moss mix. I'll be starting my Autumn garden with this mix.

IT'S ALIVE!!! We bought an incubator a few weeks ago and filled it with 10 eggs. Four were duds, infertile, and we're tossed at one week. A fifth died a few days later, it stopped at the heart stage. Yesterday we started hearing cheeps and had two pips by bedtime. This morning I woke up to a freshly hatched chick! We took her out after a few hours because there’s no way to turn off the egg turner and she was getting pushed around.
We set up a brooder in the bathroom, inside a dog crate. Buddy is still the Chicken Whisperer.
Chick #2 hatched at 8pm. Precious watched it happen and was in total awe.
10pm and two more have pipped.

Update: the last three eggs hatched the next day. and all are doing well. One had curled toes and is wearing band-aid shoes for a few days.

It's a Tomato EXTRAVAGANZA!! Nothing beats a field ripened tomato! We have THOUSANDS of them just waiting for you to take them home, including our very special GIANT PASTE TOMATOES! They are excellent for canning and have an almost solid core, weighing in at nearly a pound each! Not to be outdone, our Goliath and Mountain slicing tomatoes are perfect for sandwiches and burgers. Just one slice and you'll be in heaven. All grown organically.

Some tomatoes are still green, but still worth buying. They will ripen over time. Keep them in your pantry and enjoy fresh tomatoes well into the winter!
