Cranky Cluckers Farm We hatch and raise chickens for egg production. Our fresh eggs come from our flock of 40 birds.

Eggs vary in size and shape, from peewee to extra large and light pink to blue to chocolate brown.

Our first hatches of the year are upon us!

First up, Easter Eggers and BBS Ameraucana! RTG middle of next week!

Then Olive Eggers just in time for Valentine's Day!

We also have fertilized eggs available for all of our breeds (Easter egger, Olive egger, Ameraucana, and Black Copper Maran.

And last but not least, as the daylight time slowly increases, our hens are coming back into lay, so we have eggs for consumption available too!

I had MORE than enough help picking blueberries this afternoon. We picked nearly 5 pounds of blueberries, not counting the dropped, then scavenged, ones. 🤣 And we only got to about half of our bushes!

Hopefully they will all be just as willing participants to pick again tomorrow.

Our generators of F1 Olive Eggers, Turkey (Black Copper Maran hen) and Tom (Ameraucana rooster), spent lots of time with their chicks this afternoon. They traveled around the yard together, took a family bath, and ate dinner as a family.

The chicks, now 6 weeks old, were not impressed with their father's attempts to gain their mother's attention. To be fair, neither was she. Nevertheless, Tom splayed his wing feathers and danced proudly.
