Happy Cinco de Mayo 🎉 We're celebrating with three Cinco de Mayo-inspired beers on tap!

This year we’re doing things a little differently with some barrel-aged beer! Two of our three Cinco de Mayo-inspired beer releases have been aging for months in our new Sotol barrels from Desert Door or distillery in Texas. These Sotol barrels are very similar to mezcal or tequila, with floral and grassy notes. Our Margarita Gose and Mexican Lager were the perfect beers to christen these barrels!

Cinco de Mayo celebrations are starting a day early at the Centerville Brewpub! Today we have three Cinco de Mayo beer releases hitting our taps, along with these three delicious dishes to continue the festivities.

Deep fried Street Corn $14
🌽 Breaded street corn with Spanish rice and house-refried beans with house-made cilantro sour crema

Double Stuffed Tacos $16
🌮 One beef and one chicken soft taco, wrapped in a hard shell with house-refried beans, Spanish rice, radish, and house-made avocado crema

New experimental IPL designed by our very own R&D Head Brewer, Chris Sullivan! If you've been to the Brewpub, you've probably seen Chris hard at work through the window connecting the pub to the brewhouse!

Chris’s IPL, India Pale Lager
ABV: 5.8% IBU: 50

This is an experimental beer designed by our Head R&D Brewer, Chris! This experimental IPL is a lagered version of an IPA, and drinks smooth like a lager with the bright, hoppy aroma of an IPA. It’s a great brew for non-IPA-drinkers to dip their toes into a hoppy beer style!

The aroma on this beer is not what is typical by using a new experimental lager yeast strain that converts certain aroma compounds into other compounds. Plus, Chris’s IPL is double dry hopped to get as much aroma into this beer.

Let’s call this a successful experiment! Smooth and packed full of bright aroma. Chris’s IPL is now available on tap at the Dayton Taproom & Centerville Brewpubfor a limited time.
