Long before I had biological sisters, these girls were my original sisters—and some of the best family a little girl could have ever asked for. ❤️ (Missing Lila!)
They taught me how to work hard, catch minnows, make peppermint tea, can food, strip electrical wire from the out-of-service power pole in the orchard to make necklaces, that I absolutely should not go to bed wearing my day clothes, and that I couldn’t wear pants because I wasn’t a boy… 😆
They were such a big part of my very early years. Then, in 1996, when I was 6 years old, they and their family left the country and moved to Bolivia. And so for a long time I lost my “sisters.” After over a decade most of them are back home and I’m so grateful they are close by, they still let me call them my sis’s, and they still love me even though I never quit wearing pants.
They helped raise me well because I’m bigger than all of them now and they can hardly pick me up anymore. 😂
Some people are part of your childhood. Some people become part of who you are. These girls will always be both.I love you forever and always Rosemary Beiler Burnette Beiler Miller
