Our evening Christmas tree farm check: All is well as the moon reflects the sun's light onto the Fraser Fir fields, and one of the first photo opportunities customers will see on the short drive to the plantations. Visions like this make US "reflect" on how blessed we've been here in Central Square, NY. Little did we know when planning our bait farm that the higher ground already covered in overgrown Red Pine and White Spruce would become a Christmas Tree Farm funding the excavation of 70 quarter acre bait ponds, used in raising crayfish, and for hunting retriever training. Additionally crop rotations included development of the land for sheep farming, and herding dog training...In 2000, the Christmas tree business funded a sales barn which morphed into a dog obedience training facility, and in 2015 began hosting Central Bark's barn hunt dog training classes and BHA events. Several herding events are hosted as well. For the next 2 weekends Grace Farms of Central New York LLC is open for Choose and Cut Christmas Trees, opening at 9 am Saturday Dec 6, Sunday December 7, Saturday Dec 13 and Sunday Dec 14 ... closing at 4:30 pm each of those 4 days. In side and by the entrance of the "tree barn" there are gorgeous evergreen creations: traditional wreath, candy cane, and cross shaped wreaths made by "Wreaths by Eva". And for the 3rd year, "Wild Flower Bakery" is serving their Christmas baked goods, and hot drinks. For the children, there's a " craft " table where they can see how to re- purpose empty containers to make free table decorations to take home. There are inexpensive Christmas tree ornaments and decorations available at our small retail table. Come check us out!
