My garden is doing great so far with the back-and-forth weather things are starting to produce. I replanted other things. My volunteer lemon sunflowers are huge and abundant along with all my tomato plants.

☀️ Sunlight Guide for Vegetables 🌱

Not all plants need the same amount of sun—here’s a quick guide:

🌞 Full Sun (6–8+ hours)
Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, corn, watermelon, eggplant

⛅ Partial Sun (4–6 hours)
Beans, carrots, beets, radishes, peas, potatoes

🌤 Partial Shade (2–4 hours)
Lettuce, spinach, kale, arugula, celery, herbs

👉 Tip: More sun = more fruit. Less sun = better for leafy greens!

Our garden definitely gets all day sun so find a way to shade some of those partial sun/shade veggies to keep cool 😎

Welcome to ACM Woodworking & Tiny Farm LLC

Around here life is a mix of sawdust, soil, and farm animals.

What started as a small workshop and a love for working with my hands has grown into a little place where woodworking, gardening, and tiny farm life all come together.

In the workshop you’ll find me building small wood projects, signs, and custom pieces. Step outside and it’s a different kind of work — taking care of chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, guineas, bees, and keeping the garden growing.

After a long winter it is finally starting to look alive again. Buds are popping, green is showing back up, and the whole place is starting to look alive.

Between the flowers, berries, and fruit trees we’ve planted over time, there’s a little bit of everything growing now lavender, tulips, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, boysenberries, honeyberries, mulberries, honeysuckle, grapes, muscadines, and fruit trees like pear, plum, fig, cherry, peach, and apple.

I spent some time out in the garden working the soil too. I added compost and tilled everything together to give the ground a good start for the season. I also had the soil tested so I could get the pH back where it needs to be. Hopefully with a little help and the right balance in the soil, it’ll grow just about anything now.

There’s something about this time of year that reminds you why you put in the work. Watching everything wake up and start growing again never gets old.

As many of you know, I recently started the Central Community Garden, and I’ve been putting my CNC router to work creating custom signs for the space.
