Baby “Mystery” named by the kids because her location is often a mystery… when momma wants her hidden we definitely can’t spot her! This is our tiniest calf to date… healthy and full term but she’s a peewee one!

In terms of blowing a whistle… Would you consider the car indoors or outdoors?

I have a strict outdoor policy on whistles, but Arlo seems to think the car should be allowed. Who’s right?!

Fall weather for the win 🍁

Fed a bale of hay to our fall calving cows and wasn’t covered in sweat about to have a mental breakdown. Progress! 😆

Starting calving season optimistically… and with a bonus calf (a twin from another farmer). “Spidey” will be a back up to graft on to a mom if we have any calving troubles.

Rough morning as I could not find the bottle inside or outside 😅 and had to get a different one out of storage. Only to find this one hiding in plain sight!

Scratches and 💩…

It’s a long story, but I gave a calf a ride to its mother because I didn’t think it had nursed… It definitely knew how to nurse, and it pooped all over my Jeep. Happy day one of the real calving season 😂

A common tagging debate… what is good enough and what is worth $1.50 to have a second chance at writing. I had to go for the redo on this one! I said it was going to be too small to read from a distance. 😂

Left- mine
Right- not mine

Was I wrong to say it was worth $1.50 to rewrite this?

PS- first time having cows with 4 digit tags. This might be hard all fall!
