Hey everyone…if you’re in the Modesto area on this coming Saturday 9/06, I will be joining a co workers bbq team for an assist in the Famous Dave’s Bbq Comp over at the Mall. I believe it’s free to the public, we could definitely use the support especially with the peoples choice portion, so spread the word, and hopefully I’ll see some of you there.

I’ve been putting this off for nearly a week, maybe because once I admit it it becomes real, last week we took the girl child to College, leaving her 3000 miles away was probably the single hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, and keeping it together is the second hardest. I am so proud of who she has become and who she will become, because I know she is destined for great things. The boy child is also going to do great things, but I not ready for him figure that out, don’t think I could handle that yet.

.whte I can’t believe it, don’t want to believe it, 18 years old today, I’ll never forget the first time I held you in my arms, and you burrowed your way into my heart. I don’t care how old you get, you’ll always be my little girl. Happy Birthday sweet-pea.

Last day of High School. My “Little Girl Child” isn’t a “Little Girl” anymore. Bitter sweet really, super proud of the woman she’s become, and the future I know she’s going have.

It’s official…in a few very very very short months she will be on her way to start the next chapter in her adventure that is this life…this whirl wind, this “not so little girl” is heading off to ”Sarah Lawrence College.” Bitter sweet for me, on one hand, super proud dad moment, on the other hand, this means she’s growing up, and I don’t know if I’m ready for that.
