With more and more American farmland being lost to development, we're doing everything we can to assure that our little bit of ground we've been entrusted to is stewarded well.

This means we had to rethink how we worked our farm and switch to a direct to consumer model.

Truthfully, its harder that way. But its worth it.

Although farmers get a bad rap sometimes, we need farmers. We need farmland. We need crops and animals and real people.

We know a lot of people go out of town. If thats you and you will NOT be picking up your milk, please let us know!!

We don't want to waste lids, milk, or labor! All things that are increasing in price. In order for us to keep our prices as economical as possible, we need to waste less! PLEASE let us know if you're skipping a pick up!

This is from the Raw Milk Institute's website:

This study of 8,334 children shows that consumption of raw milk is inversely associated with asthma and allergies and concluded that "Consumption of any unboiled farm milk was consistently inversely associated with asthma, hay fever, and atopy in both exclusive and mixed farm milk drinkers. Early exposure and daily consumption of farm [raw] milk showed a stronger inverse association with health outcomes in mixed milk drinkers."

Everyone is different and different things work for different people. But if you want to give raw milk a try to see if it helps your asthma, give me a shout! You can come out to the farm to try the milk and maybe start a herdshare yourself!

So many factors go into the flavor of milk! Cow breed, cleanliness, cooling, and more factor into milking flavor, but a main factor is feed! Throughout the year, milk can vary in flavor a bit! A good diet makes great milk!
