Another traveler. Audubon’s Yellow-rumped Warbler (Setophaga coronata). Like the white crown sparrow, this bird could have summered in the Ortiz or as far north as Canada and may stay here for the winter or go to Mexico or as far south as Honduras The bird peck fruit we leave on the trees makes us a migratory refueling station. If I see this “butter butt” again I will be sure to get a picture that shows its distinctive yellow rump.
