Something my grandfather taught me…

NEVER
SKIP
BREAKFAST 😋

Free range eggs from my chickens, homemade sourdough bread, and homemade strawberry jam. The turkey bacon 🥓 is unfortunately not homemade.

Maybe someday 🦃🙃

Here’s your Sunday motivation 😌

Don’t let anyone who hasn’t been in your shoes tell you how to tie your laces.

Start each day with a grateful heart. Focus on what matters. Let go of what you can’t change.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

🚨 🦆PLOT TWIST 🦆🚨

A few weeks ago I found one of my female ducks sitting on 25 eggs. I candled all 25 eggs and only 5 were developing so I fed the other 20 to my chickens because, why not?

Mama duck continued to sit UNTIL a rat snake found her eggs‼️ Luckily, I discovered him before he enjoyed his duck egg buffet. BUT he broke mama of her broodiness and she refused to go back to the nest 🐍

So, here we are. Mama duck sat until day 23. Duck eggs are locked down on day 25 and hatch on day 28 🗓️

She did most of the work for me 🤷‍♀️

This is my first time incubating duck eggs, I couldn’t just let them die so close to hatching. So send me all the good vibes and let’s pray these babies pull through 🙏

I don't want a busy fall. I want a hobbit fall. Slow mornings, warm food, long walks, and nowhere important to be.

This week was my second Lavender Ameraucana hatch and I’m just smitten over these smooshy cheeked babies 😍
