Caney Creek Farmstead Caney Creek Farmstead has been in the Glastetter family since 1864. We raise meat rabbits and chickens for eggs and meat.

Here at Caney Creek we focus on quality Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Chickens for show, and American Aberdeen Cattle for grass-fed beef and seed stock.

Help wildlife in hot weather! ☀️ Keep your watering stations, ponds and bird baths topped up with water, and let some of your garden grow wild to provide shade for animals. Watering plants in the early morning or late evening can help reduce water evaporation. Log piles, beetle buckets and bug mansions all provide a cool refuge on a sunny day!

Have trouble telling invasive johnsongrass from similar grasses? Here is a graphic from our friends at the Missouri Invasive Plant Council that may help. Both the native eastern gamagrass and johnsongrass have the very prominent midrib in the leaves, but eastern gammagrass have flattened stem bases, while johnsongrass stem bases are rounded.
